Erik Ten Hag demands an apology from Fulham for making fun of Bruno Fernandes’ injury concerns, saying, “It Was Totally Out of Order.”

Up until it wasn’t, it was amusing. For Erik Ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, however, it was never amusing in the first place.

Ten Hag took aim at Fulham when their TikTok account shared a video making fun of Bruno Fernandes, the midfield player for United, for pretending to be hurt during their Premier League match the previous week.

Alex Iwobi’s injury-time goal in the last minute helped Fulham win 2-1 and clinch all three points to victory at the Theatre of Dreams.

Following their match, Fernandes was seen brazenly diving to try to get a foul call from the referee, but Fulham’s TikTok account shared a video of the play.

When Ten Hag was questioned about the Fulham post at a news conference held before this Sunday’s Manchester Derby, he attacked the team and its practices.

“I was unaware of this, but I would think it is wrong if they did it. Ten Hag was incensed. “It is completely inappropriate for a club to make such a statement; it is completely out of order and they should apologize for this,” Ten Hag said.

It is true that Fernandes has a history of inflating tackles against him, resulting in cheap dives throughout the previous several seasons. Therefore, it could be a little unfair to judge Fulham’s conduct as harmful in this instance.

Ten Hag, however, stood up for his midfield player and his love and dedication to the team despite Fernandes and defender Raphael Varane being declared questionable for United’s derby against Manchester City.

“You can see that opponents are pursuing him, particularly after Saturday when they seen him take a hit, and I believe the referee need to shield him there. It was so clear that they were hunting for him that they had to alter before the game even began.

United is going through a difficult time due to injuries, and players like Rasmus Hojlund and Harry Maguire, who plays defense, are expected to remain on the team’s long injured list.

This sad event coincides with United’s next encounter against rivals and reigning champions Manchester City, who have been playing very well with their key players, Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, creating havoc. United is now in sixth position.

Ten Hag, nevertheless, still has trust in his group.

“They have a strong squad, but stronger teams exist.” Liverpool has a very talented team and there are more, but they have won everything the past season, so we know that’s the task. We like these kinds of tasks.
